Who can see my medical information?

Only the independent GMC licensed online doctor has full access to the medical information you provide. The My Own Chemist pharmacy is able to see your clinical profile and use of other medication, but nothing else. Your own pharmacy is only informed that you’re using our service if you give us permission to do so when submitting your request for treatment.

What if I don’t want my GP or pharmacy to know I’m using your service?

Because Blueclinic puts your safety first, it’s important that you request treatment for your erectile dysfunction through a fully qualified online doctor. Buying on the internet is not always safe: neither the buyer nor the seller can be sure the product is right for the condition being treated. At Blueclinic, by contrast, you can buy with confidence, in confidence, because the online doctor diagnoses your condition before issuing a prescription. Your medication is then dispensed by a registered UK pharmacy and sent to you discreetly. If you don’t want your own pharmacy to know about this, we will not inform them.

How does Blueclinic protect my privacy?

Naturally, we realise that we handle very sensitive personal information. We therefore take every possible precaution, technical and administrative, to prevent unauthorised access to your data. All our employees are bound by non-disclosure agreements. Our data traffic uses secure connections (TLS with 256-byte encryption and 2048-bit key). We also use a number of tools to monitor security issues in real time. Blueclinic complies fully with all UK and European data-protection regulations.

How long do you keep my data?

We retain information for the following periods:

  • Medical data: no more than six months (NB. this period begins again if and when you request a repeat prescription).
  • Your e-mail address: no more than two years after our last e-mail to you.
  • All other data: no more than two years after your last payment for medication.

In all cases we destroy all personal information we hold about you if you do not submit an online application for treatment for two years.

How does Blueclinic protect my personal data?

We always treat your personal data with the utmost care. In order to provide our services, we need your permission to share certain details with the online doctor and with the pharmacy. But we never sell or rent personal information to third parties.
